Veteran hard rock group Disciple is celebrating their most recent no. 1 hit, with "Angels and Demons" scoring the top slot on the Billboard Christian Rock chart.

The single has been steadily gaining momentum over the past few weeks as the band has played it live throughout festival season, encouraging fans to keep requesting. Disciple has had 14 career no. 1 singles prior to this, but this is the first no. 1 with the band's latest lineup, following dramatic changes in 2013. This is also their first chart topper since going independent, with "Angels and Demons" coming from 2014's fan-funded effort Attack.

The band shared their gratitude to fans for requesting the song on facebook, encouraging listeners to continue to do so. Support has come from fellow artists as well, with We As Human sharing their congratulations.
