Here's what's happening TODAY in Christian music...

1. Owl City just announced its fall tour, called the On the Verge Tour. It's kicking off in Nashville on October 5th, running until the 26th of that month in Anaheim.

2. They made it pretty far a year ago, and it looks like Skillet is back for more as part of Billboard's Fan Army Face Off. Panheads are encouraged to head over to Billboard and vote; Round 1 of voting ends the 15th.

3. Congratulations to Christian rapper and spoken word artist Propaganda, who just welcomed his daughter to the world! And she has a big name! Soul Cruz Zaragoza-Petty. Welcome, Soul!

4. Blanca isn't a basketball wife, but her music proved to be a good soundtrack for the show Basketball Wives L.A. Her song "Not Backing Down" was used in the season 4 premiere.

5. Colton Dixon met Tim Tebow for the first time this past weekend. The meeting was a huge moment for Colton, who said he was inspired by the former Florida Gators and NFL quarterback's faith in the spotlight, and tried to model that while competing on American Idol.

6. Kevin Max has opened up his schedule and is ready, able and willing to come play late summer/fall house shows, weddings, bar mitzvahs, clubs, theaters, churches, roller skating rinks, arenas or private log cabins. Want to have him at your house? Start the conversation to see if you could get the iconic voice at your venue by visiting the contact page on his website,

7. Starting in mid-October, Family Force 5 is going to be going on their fall tour, which will be called Tour Stands Still. Get it? Their album is Time Stands Still. They replaced the word "Time" with "Tour." Clever! ... Check out their site for details.

8. Shawn Cavallo of Manic Drive spent some time with the budding Christian musicians at Camp Electric. And while he gave them vocal lessons, they gave him something perhaps just as valuable: They taught him how to dance the Nae-Nae. He said he nailed it.
Quotes (3)

1. "If we only did what we wanted to do, we would never do what we were born to do." - Derek Minor

2. "You were born to overcome. You are not destined to lose." - Jeremy Riddle

3. "God gives us a vision, then he takes us down to the valley; puts us through fires and floods; to batter us into the shape of that vision. It's in the valley that so many of us give up and faint. Every God-given vision will become real if we will have patience." - Ryan Stevenson
