Pop/rock/worship band The Neverclaim is looking for a few good men.
In advance of Father's Day and in conjunction with their new song "Mighty Men of God" from upcoming album The Joy, the band announced they're partnering with NewReleaseTuesday.com for a video contest, where people are asked to share their #MightyDads with the world.
Participants are asked to either shoot video of their dads in action, or get on camera talking about what their dads mean to them, and then hashtag it #MightyDads before posting on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.
The band and NRT will pick some selections to receive a free copy of The Joy, and a number of the videos will be used in a special fan-powered Father's Day tribute with "Mighty Men of God" serving as soundtrack.
Entries are due Friday, June 12.
Check out the official announcement from The Neverclaim's Jeremiah Carlson:
Hey guys, this is Jeremiah from The Neverclaim, and we've got a song coming out on our new record, The Joy, called "Mighty Men of God." In a time when the role of godly men is diminished or unknown or undervalued, we're feeling a real need to have a rallying cry for the guys who are giving their lives to Jesus in big and small ways. And with Father's Day coming up, we thought it'd be a great time to honor the godly dads in our lives who have impacted us so profoundly.
So here's what we'd like you to do. Record a video about your Dad. You could either show us him in action as a Mighty Man of God, or you could take some time to get on camera and talk about him. Either way, let's honor our dads. Then, post it on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and hashtag it #MightyDads. We're going to put together a tribute video in time for Father's Day, and we'll pick a few of our favorite videos to win a copy of the new record, The Joy, available July 17th.
So get out your phones and capture something that'll honor the Mighty Men of God we're blessed to have in our families and in our lives. Thanks, everyone!
