New Curb Records artist and GRAMMY winner, Lloyd Nicks, makes his label debut with "Heal For You," out now -- listen here.
Written for his children, the cinematic confession reveals the newcomer, best known for co-writing CeCe Winans' "That's My King," breaking generational cycles in an effort to be the kind of father he never had. With his own dad incarcerated for most of his life, the St. Louis native experienced a tumultuous father-son dynamic. The piano-led, string-laden ballad soars on the strength of poignant emotion and pristine vocals as the emerging artist vows to do whatever is required to be a healthy, present, loving parent for his kids. Nicks penned the selection with Benji Cowart and Chuck Butler, who also produced the track.
"This song started as a promise to my kids," Nicks affirms. "So many parents have shared how they're choosing healing to stop cycles for their children, and that's what this song lives for. If you're doing the work -- whether for your kids, your family or the younger you -- this song is yours, too."
Already a GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award winner, and three-time GMA Dove Award nominee, Nicks signed a recording contract with Curb in 2025. His award-winning hit, Winans' "That's My King," stayed at No.1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart for an impressive 49 weeks. At press time, "That's My King" has now remained on the chart for 103 weeks and currently sits at No. 3.
