The first label-distributed recording by NCC Worship, You Alone, releases today from Integrity Music amidst acclaim. The worship team from National Community Church (NCC),a multi-site church that meets in theaters around the Washington, DC metro area, offers the new album as a digital-only Worship Resource Pack. Featuring five songs with full studio recordings along with live, stripped-down versions of each song and videos of those live versions recorded at Ebenezers® coffeehouse, You Alone is meant to be a resource for other churches.
One of the tracks in the resource pack, "Christ The Lord Is Risen Today (He Is Not Dead)," is an exuberant remake of the classic hymn for a new generation of believers who will be celebrating the Risen Christ this weekend during Easter gatherings around the globe. In addition to the live video of the song at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mraYmnaLpRI, worship leaders can download the chart for the song for free via WeAreWorship.com, https://www.weareworship.com/us/songs/song-library/showsong/3673.
Existing to see God's people and His presence connect, NCC, much like its nonprofit partner, Integrity Music, will donate proceeds from the recording to carry forward that mission. In addition to music, NCC's ministry in the nation's capital has seen them turn a crack house into a coffeehouse (Ebenezers), an old theater into a gathering place for worship (The Miracle Theatre), and this year alone, they will launch over 33 mission trips and give away more than $1 million to charitable causes around the world.
In fact, all NCC's profits from the sale of You Alone will be used in the development of a local Washington, DC "Dream Center" (http://dcdreamcenter.com). Dedicated to meeting both tangible and spiritual needs in the city, the DC Dream Center will be focused on serving under-resourced neighborhoods in the DC area, offering a place of peace, reconciliation and refuge.
Artist's rendition of Dream Center to be built.
Following today's release of You Alone, NCC Worship will travel to Costa Mesa, CA (May 6-8) and Chicago, IL (May 13-15) to lead songs from the recording for The Gathering events, which are coordinated by Integrity Music's parent company, David C Cook. These unique events focus on the topics of spiritual formation and family ministry. Church leaders are encouraged to participate in this opportunity to network and collaborate with other ministry leaders, gaining practical insights for their respective churches.
NCC Worship will then return to the DC-area to lead worship and teach during the National Worship Leader Conference (NWLC) being held May 19-21 at Centreville Baptist Church in Washington, DC (Centreville, VA). The NWLC, run by Worship Leader magazine, was founded in 2007 to meet the musical, theological and media training needs of those who bring the services of worship to their congregations on a weekly basis.
Serving the multi-campus National Community Church, NCC Worship will further share its insights on how to manage the complexities of such services. This will be the central topic discussed in their upcoming free webinar with PraiseCharts, which is set to take place this spring. (Details to come.)
Produced by Kurtis Parks and Dove Award winner Kyle Lee (Michael W. Smith, Leeland, Dustin Smith), You Alone features lead vocalists/musicians Parks, Joel Buckner, Carolina Soto, Dan Rivera and Chris Douglas.
