Fans have been bewildered by a lack of tour dates on Jeremy Camp's website and social media outlets, but an announcement today by the singer has clarified that, at least for now, touring has taken a backseat to a new passion: bodybuilding.

Albeit humbly and subtly, the worship singer-songwriter has made no secret of his above-average muscular build, often challenged by various tourmates to arm wrestling competitions he ultimately wins. 

Camp's press release said he was encouraged by bodybuilding pastor/model Ed Young of Fellowship Church to enter "muscle ministry." 

"Bodybuilders need Jesus, too," Camp said, while chugging a protein shake. 

The artist has put all touring on hold while training for the Beefcake Invitational sponsored by Oberto Beef Jerky, to be held May 21 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Rumor has it that he plans to flex to his 2010 song, "Unrestrained."

According to tweets from Camp's wife, Adie, Camp has "totally transformed" his physique over the past several weeks--"all naturally, of course."
