Canadian worship outfit Lightfall has launched
an indiegogo campaign to fund the release of their debut full-length album.
The album is the follow-up to their
self titled EP, a project which propelled them to a surprise number 1 position in the inspirational category on iTunes. Although asking for fans to come alongside them in making the full length project, Lightfall's method is a little out of the norm, as they've promised to match everything fans donate, dollar for dollar, from their own pockets.
In an
exclusive NRT interview last fall, drummer Mark Chown shared "the plan is that us as a group, as a band, will match dollar for dollar everything that comes in through the indiegogo. We're not just going to expect people to pay for the album, sit back then go in and record. We obviously believe in what we're doing, we believe in what God has called us to do. And because of that, we're going to stand behind it financially as well."
The band's focus on partnering with fans to keep their ministry moving is apparent as well through the transparent breakdown of their needs on the indiegogo page. Lightfall has also developed incentives for backers including merchandise packs and living room sessions. You can
