During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Cross Movement stood as one of the pioneers of Christian hip-hop (CHH). Many current fans of the subgenre became embedded fans of CHH as a positive alternative to what the world offered due to the talents of Ambassador, Flame, DA' T.R.U.T.H., Phanatik, Tru-Life, The Tonic, and others collectively known as Cross Movement.

Brady "Phanatik" Goodwin was lethal with his delivery and content aligned with the word of God. A student of the faith, he intentionally dug deep into his walk and how the Bible influenced such.

Sadly, recently Phanatik posted a 24-minute video on Facebook detailing the deconstruction of his faith and what ultimately occurred for him to stop believing in God and His Son Jesus. Over the past few years, we've seen many other influential artists walk away from the faith.
