After her EP Where I Belong released in 2020, Katie Lighty dove deep into thought and prayer that birthed a beautiful new song, "Never." The song continues to share the depth of her relationship with Jesus. With the past year being so tumultuous, "Never" reminds us that Jesus' love is far-reaching and strongest when we feel we are falling apart.
Teaming up again with producer Sajan Nauriyal, the song carries new sonic vibes and gives us a glimpse into the direction that Katie wants to go with her music moving forward.
"As the last year has unfolded in all of its uncertainty and turmoil, so much of the world was in a place of desperation. I found myself needing to create and write about the one absolute I have always known I can cling to, God's perfect and unshakable love," Katie shared. "He sustains me and carries me, and I will forever create from a place of wonder at this truth. I hope that everyone who listens to this song would be filled with the same confidence that I have in God's immovable and constant love."
