The independent hardcore metal band Reverie has released their new single, "God Complex." This is the second single this year from the band, the other being "Create Erase" released in January. The song is musically and vocally heavier than "Create Erase," and was released with an accompanying lyric video on their Youtube page. The lyrics scream against hypocrisy, specifically in the form of a 'god complex' with the chorus saying You give me just enough to always keep me holding on/Holding on/(So helplessly)/You're not god.
Reverie is a four piece melodic hardcore band out of Columbus, Ohio. They released their first single, "Home" in 2017, followed by the EP The Prodigal in 2018. In 2020, they premiered the lyric video for the new single, "Create Erase" on the Instagram page "KingdomCore" to great reception. The second single is promising look at a potential full album in the future.
