The influential rock veteran artist
Lacey Sturm officially announced that she is in the studio recording for her sophomore album as a solo artist. Her social media pages teased with two posts as of the time of this writing - the first captioned with microphone equipment said, "Can you guess what instrument were [sic] recording tomorrow for the first round of new songs?" The second was more ambiguous but excitingly claimed it was a "Perfect day to record some drums."
Lacey Sturm's passion for music and art has not dimmed since her debut solo album, filling in for Jen Ledger's vocals in Skillet on Winter Jam, collaborating on a track for Breaking Benjamin's Aurora album released earlier this year, and continuing to be involved heavily with the
Reflect Love Back devotional and music series.
Lacey Sturm is well known for her season as lead singer of
Flyleaf and as an author of three books. She and her husband Joshua Sturm launched a 12-week devotional series called
Reflect Love Back in 2018. Her debut solo project,
Life Screams, was met with positive critical acclaim as one of the best albums of the last decade.
