Red Guerrilla Entertainment is set to release Better Days Episode 2 entitled "Stayed Down" as another glimpse into the first faith-driven Superhero Universe directed by Rhyan LaMarr. The production company will collaborate with today's most innovative storytellers to develop a multiplatform universe across film, TV, and music.
LaMarr's Superhero Universe is filled with some of the most popular voices speaking to youth today; Yancey Arias (BOSCH, QUEEN OF THE SOUTH), (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH and SPIDER-MAN'S) Hemkey Madera, Twista, Social Club Misfits, Jack Red and 1K Phew who was recently called, "The fasting growing name in Christian music." "Stayed Down" is now available as a YouTube original.
Red Guerrilla Entertainment is no stranger to influencer-driven storytelling. The faith-based thriller Canel Street released in January 2019, featured the cast of The Breakfast Club, The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Mancow alongside some of today's hottest talent; Michael Beach (Aquaman), Lance Reddick (The Wire, Blacklist) and Jamie Hector (Bosch, The Wire).
The ways Gen Zers and Millennials walk in their faith continues to change. Kanye West continues to make news with his Sunday Service. Social media feeds & streaming platforms highlight influencers such as Justin Beiber getting baptized in an NBA player's bathtub opening the door for Lamarr to have a conversation about faith using characters unlike those we've ever seen before.
Lamarr's superheroes are adapted for the times yet they do follow the familiar journey of all superheroes by discovering their purpose, recognizing their gifts and ultimately surrendering to the "call." However, this call won't be coming from Marvel's Nick Fury. "Relating to faith-driven characters onscreen is necessary not merely for us to feel seen and understood, but also for others who need to see and understand us," says LaMarr. "These superheroes will showcase complicated human beings who do the right thing."
