The Tunies, an award show celebrating the music that graces the jukeboxes of Waffle Houses across America, recently streamed their show live on Facebook, where Mac Powell and the Family Reunion were among the guests that performed.
Powell and the gang took home a little hardware for Best Crossover Album, in addition to debuting their new song, "Waffle House Anthem."
Powell, a self-proclaimed Waffle House enthusiast, used his acceptance speech to talk about Waffle House being one of the very few restaurants open on his birthday: Christmas day. That's where his birthday dinner is every year, where he gives his kids a few bucks to listen to the jukebox together.
