Christian rap has come a long way since its inception, and people are taking notice. This morning, USA Today published an article highlighting a few Christian rappers that have their attention, titled, "Christian hip hop is having a moment: 6 rappers you should know."
NF led the way, as no one can deny his success and strong following. They mentioned his new album The Search and its debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, beating out Chance The Rapper's new album. Although USA Today mentioned his success, Lecrae was also highlighted due to his crossover ability, as well as working with Tori Kelly and Ty Dolla $ign.
Lecrae's Reach Records counterpart, Andy Mineo, got some love as well for his struggle with faith on The Arrow and The Sword EPs, and his boldness for serving God on "You Can't Stop Me." One pleasant surprise is new Reach Records artist Wande making the list. Other artists featured were nobigdyl and Social Club Misfits.
