Centricity Music's modern-pop band, Unspoken, is enjoying tremendous success with its first single from their self-titled full album. "Start A Fire" has reached No. 1 on Billboard's AC Monitored Chart, and remained No. 1 for five weeks at AC Indicator. This marks the first chart topper for the band at AC Monitored and the first multi-week No. 1 hit. The album also climbed to No. 9 on Billboard's Current Contemporary Christian Chart. The music video for "Start A Fire" is close to 650,000 views, and is connecting with fans online.
"We are incredibly humbled by the response from radio to our single, 'Start A Fire,'" says Chad Mattson, lead singer for Unspoken. "The song started as a prayer in our own lives, so having it be our first No. 1 single means a lot to us, but more importantly is the impact that the song is having in the lives of listeners. That never would have happened without the support of our friends at radio and we cannot thank them enough!"
"It has been such a fun summer with Unspoken," says Steve Ford, Vice President of Marketing, Centricity Music. "With the band being honored with such a tremendous showing at AC radio, a video that is getting strong reaction, and Unspoken continuing to build a solid fan base out on the road, it brings a lot of energy to the new project. This band is making an impact everywhere they go. This is how I describe fun."
After a busy summer debuting the music from their new project, Unspoken, the group will join Centricity Music labelmates, Jason Gray, Lindsay McCaul and Carrollton for Jason Gray's With Every Act Of Love Tour next week. Presented by World Vision, the tour will run September 26 --November 11 and is scheduled to visit twenty cities. Tickets for the dates are available through iTickets.com.
