Marc Martel, whose mainstream profile is ever on the increase thanks to his various gigs highlighting his vocal resemblance to the late Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury, has taken a visit back to his roots.
Before he was known for his Mercury mimicry, he was co-vocalist of the beloved CCM band Downhere. Several of Downhere's most popular recordings were produced by Mark Heimermann. Heimermann's latest production project is an ambitious new hymns project, where classic hymns are re-imagined and sung by some powerhouse vocalists. For the lead single of the forthcoming project, Heimermann enlisted Martel to wade back into the CCM waters, and give his own fresh spin on the classic "Great is Thy Faithfulness." The single is released now, with both an edited and extended cut available.
