Known for pushing artistic boundaries, daring the faithful to re-imagine worship and community, Dove and "Best Live Show" K-LOVE Fan Award-nominated Irish worshippers and modern day psalmists Rend Collective will continue its fresh, aesthetic call to worship on The Art Of Celebration Tour. The 37-city, major market tour featuring special guests Moriah Peters and Urban Rescue, and sponsored by Compassion International , Grand Canyon University and Pulse Ministries, launches Sept. 10 in Charlotte, NC and traverses the country into 25 states over 50 days before wrapping up Oct. 30 in Nashville, TN. (For full routing, and for all the latest tour updates go to http://rendcollective.com/tour.)
While on tour, Rend Collective will play "My Lighthouse " and other new hits from their 5-Star acclaimed, The Art of Celebration, which went No. 1 worldwide on iTunes and debuted at No. 1 and No. 13 on the Current Contemporary Christian and Billboard Top 200 retail charts respectively after releasing globally from Integrity Music on St. Patrick's Day this year.
Rend Collective will also unleash in each tour venue "Build Your Kingdom Here " and other raucous favorites from its 5-Star acclaimed albums, Organic Family Hymnal, Homemade Worship by Handmade People and Campfire.
For Rend Collective's new album, The Art of Celebration, the band made a recent theological breakthrough that is changing everything about their approach to music and life: seriousness is not a fruit of the spirit, but joy is. And anyone who has experienced the controlled chaos and infectious wildness of a Rend Collective event will know that celebration and joy have always been at the core for these worship artists.
The raw, rootsy, foot-stomping energy of the Irish worshippers has always been about people and building God's Kingdom here. Beginning as a group of friends collectively wondering how to make sense of the conundrum of life, God and community, Rend Collective is a nod to the places in Scripture where it says to "rend your hearts" and not your garments, a bold call to be genuine.
Prior to the launch of the new tour, Rend Collective will be playing at Universal Studios' Rock The Universe Sept. 5, among other events.
