Fans saddened by the end of seminal Christian rock band Third Day are rejoicing, as the band has agreed to reunite for an exciting comeback tour experience.
"We realized after all this time apart that we are better together," frontman Mac Powell said. "It takes that season of being on your own to really appreciate the special thing we have. I for one am excited to dust off the old songs and give the fans our all."
The band announced their dissolution in early March, closing this chapter of their career together with a 12-city nationwide farewell tour throughout June. Although they haven't even started the farewell tour as of yet, they mutually determined that it was prime time for a comeback.
"OK, so we haven't even fully broken up yet," guitarist Mark Lee said, "but in our hearts, the decision has been made for a good five to seven years. So to us, we've been broken up for a long time. So this is a very real feeling to us... a feeling of, 'Yes, it's time to be Third Day again.'"
Following the band's Farewell Tour in June, the band is scheduled to appear at a number of summer festivals before launching into a fall "Third Day's Back! Tour" with special guests All Sons & Daughters and Audio Adrenaline. The band is also
in talks to headline MegaFest.
