Jeremiah Carlson, lead vocalist for pop/worship band The Neverclaim, is going country! Jeremiah is launching a side gig under the name Jeremiah Ray. His new Instagram @iamjeremiahray, set up last week, says in the bio: "I've written loads of songs for other big artists. This is my solo adventure. Twangy, bluesy, alt-country. I am Jeremiah Ray."
The Instagram bio also contains a Youtube link of Jeremiah's smooth, country-style cover of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
While Jeremiah Ray hasn't released any original music yet, he gave his followers a hint that much of the focus may be on love songs. One of the photos Jeremiah shared to his new account was of his wife of 20 years, Kara. He wrote along with the photo, "Pretty much 90% of the songs I write are about her. Truly my best friend."
While Jeremiah seems excited about his new country gig, he doesn't appear to have any plans of leaving The Neverclaim. Follow @iamjeremiahray for more updates on his country endeavors.
