Get ready to "Sweep The Leg" as Alternative Pop/Rock band Family Force 5's newest single debuts at No. 1 today on iTunes' Top Christian & Gospel Songs Chart, and as Netflix releases its Karate Kid trilogy. With the song title inspired by the original Karate Kid movie released 30-years ago, "Sweep The Leg" is featured on the band's highly anticipated, first studio album in three years, Time Stands Still, releasing Aug. 5 from Word Entertainment. The song also joins "Let It Be Love" and "BZRK (feat. KB)" as Instant Grat Track downloads available now through a pre-order campaign from iTunes.
As momentum continues to build for the 15-song Time Stands Still, Family Force 5's first music video from the album, "BZRK (feat. KB)," which released May 23, has already gathered over 337,000 views and 3,100 likes on YouTube. The video also goes berserk on MTV.com, becoming the No. 1 most viewed music video on the site.
Family Force 5, who has been at the forefront of driving video content throughout its career, also released "BZRK (feat. KB)" as the lead Rock single from the album at Christian radio. Top 15 this week, the song has picked up spins over the last couple weeks on WYSZ (Toledo, OH), WJTL (Lancaster, PA) and the FX Radio Network.
Family Force 5's first Christian AC/CHR radio single from Time Stands Still, "Let It Be Love," continues its ascent on the charts as it emphasizes the incredible, life-giving power of grace. Hitting No. 16 and climbing at CHR this week and picking up increased spins on 16 stations, the song was also recently added into rotation at WKNZ (Salisbury, MD), WLFJ (Greenville, SC), KMOQ (Joplin, MO), WGRC (Williamsport, PA) and KADI (Springfield, MO).
Produced by Riley Friesen (Vota, Staggerford) and Seth Mosley (Newsboys, for KING & COUNTRY), Time Stands Still also features "Glow In The Dark" and more songs that Family Force 5 member Jacob Olds ("Crouton" / vocals, drums) says "step outside of the box from the way faith-based artists have traditionally sounded and worked."
