Disciple is raising funds to support video creator Joel Burris following the theft over over $7,000 worth of gear. All donations can be made through Disciple's standard donate page at
disciplerocks.com/donate.
Joel Burris has produced all of Disciple's lyric videos and LED video components for live shows over the past few years, including creating the video for their extremely successful
Long Live the Rebels kickstarter campaign. He operates a small media company called Attention to Detail out of Missouri. On January 9, all of his camera gear was stolen from his family vehicle.
"We want to do what we can and help get Joel's equipment replaced," Disciple shared on their facebook page the next day. "We will be opening our PayPal donation link to you guys and gals to donate to helping him! 100% of the money donated will go directly to him. Show him some love!"
The band streamed a
live video from their page on January 20, further encouraging their fans to come on board to help.
Disciple fans have created a name for themselves as some of the most generous and supportive in the Christian music industry, fan funding the last two Disciple records and covering over $30,000 of bus repairs in 2017. Disciple is now extending that same generosity towards Joel, his wife and their baby son.
