Hitmaker Adam Young, the brains and voice behind Owl City, has released his latest EP,
Ultraviolet, now available for purchase.
Ultraviolet is a collection of four songs with sounds both familiar and new. At the helm is Owl City's hit single "Beautiful Times" featuring violinist Lindsey Stirling (you can watch the music video on
VEVO and
YouTube).
"I worked hard to marry the original 'old school'— if you could call it that— melodic influence from 2007 with the tips and tricks I've learned over the years as far as production goes. It's a blend of old and new sounds. That's the vision," Young says on his
official website.
Ultraviolet is the first in a planned series of EPs from pop/rock hitmaker Adam Young, the brains and voice behind Owl City. Young says his plan is to release a stream of music to fans over the coming year to ultimately compile a full-length album.
Of his plan, Young says, "It was a change of pace, and it just felt like the right plan to release the EPs and then the new album. The EPs are like short stories that collectively add up and tie together for the full-length."
Ultraviolet is now available on
iTunes,
Amazon, and GooglePlay.
