Hard rock outfit Disciple has unveiled the cover for their upcoming album Attack on their facebook page, along with confirming the release date as September 23, 2014.
This is the latest step in the band's recent direction, focused on engaging fans as much as possible. Disciple is one of the latest bands to forgo record label ties and choose instead to involve their listeners in the process of creating new music. The band's kickstarter project for Attack reached its funding goal in a matter of days, reaching well over twice its initial aim by the end of the campaign with over $115,000 contributed.
Attack will be the band's 11th studio album, but it is the first release since the band went through a line-up transformation that leaves frontman Kevin Young the only static member. The powerhouse new line-up features former members of a wide range of bands, including Jason Wilkes of High Flight Society (bass), Andrew Stanton of I Am Empire (guitar), Josiah Prince of Philmont (guitar), and Joey West of After Edmund (drums).
The band has already given their dedicated fanbase a taste of the new sound by playing the infectiously intense new songs "Radical" and "Dead Militia" at Spring and Summer shows. You can watch a fan's video of "Radical" here: http://youtu.be/aGD6tPPtXG0
