On December 13, Tennessee rapper Ty Brasel announced that he's signed with 4 Against 5 (IVAV), a recently established hip-hop imprint by Word Entertainment/Curb Music headed by former Reach Records long-time producer Joseph Prielozny.
The label signed its first hip-hop artist Steven Malcom back in October 2016. Brasel announced the new deal and his personal excitement on Twitter: "4 years ago from today l dropped out of college to pursue my passion for music. Today l announce that I've signed my first record deal w/ IVAV. l look forward to the future, and l can't wait to share this new music with you!"
Brasel's name was on the map throughout 2017 due to his independent release of Young T in June, along with a handful of features alongside Derek Minor, KB, Lawren, Dru Bex, J-Giles Son and countless others. Young T may be purchased on iTunes here. Brasel also joined Reach Records heavyweights KB and Trip Lee on the Hometeam Tour at select tour stops throughout the nearly 20 city run.
