Ahead of the official release of new single "More Of You" to digital outlets on June 24, Colton Dixon posted to Facebook on Friday with details on his forthcoming sophomore album. The album is to be titled Anchor and is set to release August 19. Dixon also premiered the official album artwork for the new release, capitalizing on the literal theme with a stylized underwater shot of Dixon.
Dixon rocketed onto the music scene after placing 7th in American Idol's 11th season. A fan favorite from early on, it wasn't long before the singer known for his rock star hair rocketed to a healthy post-Idol career.
Unashamed of his Christian faith from the start, it came as no surprise when Dixon gravitated towards the Christian music scene. Fueled by the smash hits "You Are" and the No. 1 hit "Never Gone," Dixon quickly became one of the hottest fresh faces of 2013. From booking a spot on the east coast leg of the Winter Jam 2014 Tour -- the #1 tour for the first quarter of the year -- to winning the Male Artist of the Year at the 2013 WE LOVE CHRISTIAN MUSIC AWARDS, Dixon shot to the top of the A-list of CCM. With "More of You" already climbing radio charts, Anchors is sure to make even more waves for the up-and-coming singer.
