On November 16th, the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards aired on Univision. The Latin Grammys are awarded by The Latin Recording Academy and recognize outstanding achievement within the Latin music industry. There were two awards given for artists in Christian music, one for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) and the other for Best Portuguese Language Christian Album.
The winner of Best Christian Album (Spanish Language) was Alex Campos for his album
Momentos. Alex Campos is a singer/songwriter from Colombia who has previously won three Latin Grammys. His latest album Momentos was heavily influenced by the Mexican mariachi music he was exposed to during his childhood. With titles like "Soy Valiente", "Perdóname", and "Mi Valiente Guerrero" Alex Campos sings of the things God has done for him. Other nominees were

Best Portuguese Language Christian Album award went to Aline Barros for her album
Acenda A Sua Luz. Hailing from Brazil, Aline Barros has won a variety of awards, has two certified diamond recordings, and has published seven books. A woman of many talents, her latest album is full-on gospel message with a Contemporary Christian feel. "Depois da Cruz", "Tua Presença é o Céu pra Mim", and "Paulo e Silas" are a few of the songs on her album
