John Waller has provided a number of inspirational anthems for Christians such as “The Blessing” and “While I’m Waiting,” and now the singer-songwriter is looking to get a little festive.

Facebook and Twitter posts on Tuesday, June 17 pointed his fan base to a Kickstarter page, where Waller announced he would be looking for crowd funding in order to record and release his first Christmas album. 

The $20,000 campaign has not yet started, although the page has a humorous video of Waller polling his family members whether he should record a Christmas album. 

In the “draft” version of this campaign, Waller’s support levels begin at $50—which earns the backer an autographed copy of the CD—and accumulates goodies up to the $5,000 support level, which yields the CD, a special limited-edition ornament, a concert T-shirt, album credits in the CD, and a free concert by John at the place of the backer’s choosing.

Waller aims to record, mix and distribute the Christmas record by the holiday season in 2014.
