Mandisa has the Song of the Year with “Overcomer” and is the Female Artist of the Year at the second annual K-LOVE Fan Awards.
During the event, which took place June 1 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Casting Crowns took Artist of the Year honors, and Newsboys were recognized as the Group of the Year. Chris Tomlin won Male Artist of the Year.
Hillsong UNITED’s runaway hit, “Oceans,” won Worship Song of the Year, while tobyMac took the giant golden “K” for Best Live Show. The
God’s Not Dead movie won the Film and TV Impact award.
All the awards were voted on by the fans, as was a competition for the first Christian artist to grace the front of a 7UP can. That vote—which comes on the heels of several other artists being chosen to appear on 25 million Pepsi MidAmerica cans—resulted in a win for Jamie-Grace.
