Lauren Daigle's AMA Nominations, Dove Wins Make for a Big Week
Honored as Artist of the Year at 47th annual GMA event

Centricity Music artist Lauren Daigle continues to build momentum with unprecedented record sales, multiple award wins/nominations and a sold out concert tour. Daigle received her first American Music Award nomination this week for "Favorite Artist Contemporary/Inspirational," in great company with Hillsong UNITED and Chris Tomlin. She also took top honors at the Gospel Music Association's (GMA) 47th Annual Dove Awards as the frontrunner of award wins with three for the evening, making this a total of six career Dove's to date for Daigle since the release of her debut album How Can It Be in early 2015.
Nominated for six Dove Awards (the most for any artist this year), Daigle walked away with "Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year" for her chart-topper, "Trust In You," and "Songwriter of the Year." She also won the prestigious "Artist of the Year" honor. Hosted by award winning duo for King & Country and gospel music's Tye Tribbett, the Dove Awards were held at Allen Arena at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and will broadcast on Oct. 16 on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
"This past year has been such an amazing journey with so many 'pinch me' moments," says Daigle. "The embrace and support of the industry and fans has been overwhelming, and I am so honored that God continues to use me to touch people's hearts and lives through music."
Among her American Music Award nomination and Dove Award wins, Daigle recently Sold Out her upcoming debut headline concert tour. In support of her Gold Record album, How Can It Be, the 12-city "A Night with Lauren Daigle" circuit, presented by CURE International with special guest Chris McClarney, kicks off today in Memphis, Tenn. and will run through October 29, ending in Clearwater, Fla.
How Can It Be has already received much acclaim. Daigle received her first GRAMMY® nomination earlier this year for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album" at the 58th GRAMMY® Awards; and took home the 2016 Billboard Music Award for "Top Christian Album." She also won three previous Dove Awards (nominated for 10) --"New Artist of the Year," "Song of the Year" ("How Can It Be") and "Pop Contemporary Album of the Year," and was awarded this year's K-LOVE Fan Awards for "Artist of the Year" and "Female Artist of the Year." She was also awarded the 2015 K-LOVE Fan Award for "Worship Song of the Year" ("How Can It Be").
How Can It Be has logged more than five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart, and premiered in the Top 30 on the Billboard 200. HOW CAN IT BE also reached No. 1 on the iTunes Christian Gospel Top Albums Chart with more than 416,100 album sales, 976,500 track sales and over 132 million streams, positioning her as the fastest-selling new artist in Contemporary Christian music in the past decade. Daigle has had over 113 million YouTube and Vevo views, with approximately 359,400 subscribers. For "How Can It Be" alone, she has had more than 20 million views.
Lauren is slated to release her first-ever Christmas album titled Behold, on Oct. 21 via Centricity Music.
