Alternative rockers
The Classic Crime have launched a
Kickstarter for a new studio album slated for an early 2017 release. This would mark the band's first album of all new material since 2012's
Phoenix, also funded via Kickstarter. Bridging the two albums was an acoustic album,
What Was Done Vol. 1: A Decade Revisited, again funded via the popular crowd funding platform.
Like their previous efforts, The Classic Crime reached their funding goal in a matter of hours. As of this writing, they are poised to double their initial $30,000 goal in about two days of campaigning. The band has stated that the more they are able to raise, the higher the quality album they'll be able to produce.
The Classic Crime shot to popularity on Tooth & Nail Records in the late 2000's with their aggressive and passionate sound. When the band transitioned into Independence, they brought with them a loyal fanbase that made their previous two Kickstarter projects funded in mere hours. Frontman Matt MacDonald also performs with his wife in the acoustic act
Vocal Few.
