About A Mile is two weeks into a PledgeMusic campaign to invite fans into the process of creating their next album, which they hope to release this summer.
Explaining their choice to go the PledgeMusic route, bass player Luke Klute shared "we discovered that this one really gave fans a way to connect with us, and for us to connect with you. We get to post behind the scenes photos and videos and interviews all the time and let you hear the music first, and sometimes even let you pick the music."
The album will be their first full length release since choosing to partner with Ian Eskelin's Radiate Music. The band's 2014 debut album was released with Word Records to acclaim, leading to an opening spot on Winter Jam 2015. However, the band would ultimately feel called to a more independent route.
"Fortunately God has always put us in a position to be able to put the gospel message into the music and take it to the world. That's what we care about, being able to tell people Jesus loves them and has a plan for them," lead singer Adam Klute says of the band's current chapter. "This is just the avenue we're using to do that right now. And it's a huge blessing. Sometimes God uses people that can't go on the road to say 'I want to help you with your ministry and get the gospel out there.' And it's just been a joy to be able to experience other people helping you save lives for the kingdom of heaven. That's what it's all about."
