Group 1 Crew has announced a new album for this summer in a video shared by frontman Manwell Reyes.
In the video (watch it
here), which Group 1 Crew shared to facebook last week, Manny shared that he had to have vocal surgery and has been in recovery for most of the year so far, including two full months where he couldn't speak. The end of his recovery is in sight however as he gets ready to launch new music.
In preparation for the album release, Group 1 Crew shot three music videos in three days. The project is currently tentatively slated for release in July.
In addition to an update on the band business, Manwell took some time to encourage fans in the video, saying "be on the side of faith. There's so many times where I was on the side of doubt, where I was just like 'God, why? Why did -You did this to me? Why am I the one going through this? Why?' Then He always brings me out, and I find myself upset that I doubted Him. So this past season has been a commitment for me to be on the side of faith. No matter what happens, no matter how I feel, I'm going to believe it's going to be alright, even though I don't have any of the answers."
