Flyleaf lead singer Kristen May has been working on a new release for the better part of last year--and no, we're not talking about her crowdfunded new solo album,
Conversations.
May and her husband, Brian Little, welcomed their first child, a son named Graham, on Dec. 28--a day the new mom said was the most challenging, wonderful day of her life.
"Birth is way more of a primal experience than I ever imagined," May wrote in a social media post the evening of the 28th. She had Graham at home, aided by a pair of midwives, her husband and mother, a group to whom May said she owes "so much."
"It's true what they say, all the pain fades and the oxytocin high mixed with the greatest love you've ever felt, is present and palpable." May wrote. "I feel stronger than I've ever been, with a greater sense of purpose than I have ever known. I am in awe of birth and so very thankful for this experience."
Baby Graham has already taken over May's Facebook feed, with the proud mama posting plenty of pictures of her son sleeping, stretching and being worn in a wrap.
