If you listened to Christian radio in the 1990s, you might remember a band called Two or More. They had a few hits, but largely flew under the radar. Despite that, they managed to stick around making music for quite a while. They've even had a small number of releases in recent years. An Ecuadorian band from Southern California, they boasted a Latin flair and soaring harmonies; their sound was a fine example of the best of their era's contemporary/pop/rock mix. Take a stroll down memory lane with some highlights of their music. 

Life in the Diamond Lane

With a memorable title--Life in the Diamond Lane--and Elefante-produced harmonies, this collection of songs is the most likely to offer a cut you might hear on a classic Christian radio station. Upbeat opener "He's There" juggles a Latin pop flavor with the harmonic hallmarks of the Elefante brothers' production and makes for a truly engaging hit. "Heaven Is Calling Your Name" is probably the band's most well-known contribution. More of a ballad, this song reaches for the heavens in singing of how Christ pursues our hearts. "Our Father" is a reflective musical adaptation of The Lord's Prayer, and it's a beautiful way to end their debut album.
 

Walking On The Water

"Know That I Love You" impresses on this release with a reassuring ballad of Christ's love for us. The title track is a softer option that showcases the band's lower-key side. "Heaven Out Of Sight" brings back the upbeat Latin flair that drove the first album's hit singles.
 

Through The Years

Two or More largely ventured into releasing covers of worship standards on releases in the 2000s and 2010s. Lots of classic worship hits got the Two or More treatment: "God of Wonders," "Forever," and "Amazing Love." Some of the albums mixed worship standards with the band's original fare. If you remember the band's early work but missed their releases since, these are well worth checking out. 
 

Recent Activity 

If we're being honest, casual fans probably thought Two or More disappeared after the Walking on the Water album, like many similar 1990s Christian bands did after an album or two. But they released fairly regular material through 2017's Anthology. Such albums often announce the end of a band's output, but Two or More remains active independently. 2023 is their most recent release, an original Christmas song called "Meaning of Christmas."
 

The band still performs a handful of shows from time to time as well. You might not hear the band on K-LOVE radio as much as you did in the 1990s, but it's a veteran band that never made it to the A-list. It's a treat to see them, so find a way to keep the door to the music slightly ajar and make occasional appearances. Perhaps even more is yet to come.
