"Our desire is to write music that's inspiring and ultimately excites people toward Jesus," the duo shares. I had the great opportunity to interview the couple about their powerful song, “Better Place,” a deeply personal song that speaks directly to anyone who has ever struggled to believe their life still matters.
Please tell me the personal story behind this song.
Max: For the past 10 years, there hasn’t been a single day Grace hasn’t faced depression in some form. Yet through it all, the Lord has walked beside her. He has reminded her that what was meant for evil, He can use for good. He has never left her—and He never will.
Grace: I hold onto the truth that I am here for a purpose. Life is worth fighting for, because Jesus died so that we may truly live. My story is just one of many, and that’s why we feel so strongly about "Better Place."

This song encourages us to see ourselves the way God sees us. What a great message of redemption: grace is unmerited favor, and it is a free gift.
This song is a powerful way to surrender to God and dedicate yourself to Him. The Bible teaches us to trust what God says about us, no matter how we feel. He knows us deeply, and because Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross, God sees us as holy, righteous, redeemed, chosen, fully understood, and forgiven—regardless of our actions. If you've placed all your hope and trust in Jesus, nothing can separate you from His love. I am strengthened with the truth that God wants us to know that fear, worry, and anxiety are not His plan for our lives.
