The Church Will Sing provides a unique perspective on worship music. Created by Word Worship Music, this project allows congregations from around the world to submit vocals and be featured on collaborative volumes. The songs are penned by successful writers who have written some of Christian music's most beloved worship favorites.

This week, I'll look at two songs crafted by this compilation of voices: "The King Is Coming" and "Worthy Is Your Name (Exalted)." The first song mentioned features artists Justin Tweito and Corey Voss, and the second one highlights artist Cecily and worship band Reach City Worship.

"The King Is Coming"

And like the sun through the clouds
The choirs of heaven breakout
Come and rejoice
For the King is coming

From the song's beginning, I felt included in this congregation-filled anthem. The song puts the focus on God and community, which is the mission of The Church Will Sing. There's no denying that Judgment Day is rapidly approaching. But phrasing it that way often scares Christians and non-Christians from talking about it. However, it's true regardless of avoidance tactics.

And in addition to sinners being condemned, there will be a joyful reunion between God and the Church, His bride. That is why
The Great Commission is so essential to the walk of a Christian because salvation is necessary to enter heaven. If we truly have the key to eternal life, and I believe we do, why do we keep it to ourselves? I encourage you to share Jesus with someone today, even if it's only the seed of a smile; it could change their life.
 

"Worthy Is Your Name (Exalted)"

Oh, how majestic You reign
Thе heavens roar, the еarth proclaims

Inspired by Revelation 5:12-13, this song encapsulates the sound of heaven worshiping our King. Something special that the Revelation verse reveals is the inevitability of praising God. Maybe we don't "feel like'' worshiping today, but that will not stop the rest of the earth from participating. The mountains bow to God's glory; the beautiful colors of the flowers are perfectly crafted to bring attention to God's magnificence. 

I love how each voice in this song blends to express their awe of the Heavenly Father. Branching off that, humility is a large part of acknowledging our position as children of God. We owe Him the praise and this song recognizes that truth. The earth and heavens already sing of God's worthiness every day. In gratitude for His love and sacrifice, it is only right that we join in the song.
