The Problem Of Pain
.
by Adriana Lima | Genre: Non Fiction-Misc
Release Date: February 2001

The Problem of Pain book by C. S. Lewis, in which he seeks to provide an intellectual Christian response to questions about suffering. Originally published in 1940, the book is a theodicy, an attempt by one Christian layman to reconcile orthodox Christian belief in a loving and omnipotent God with the fact that people suffer, and is not intended to provide comfort to those actually suffering. Some have felt that it is useful to read it together with A Grief Observed, Lewis' reflections on his own experience of severe emotional pain. In addition to dealing with human pain, however, the book also contains a chapter entitled "Animal Pain," demonstrating the fact that Lewis cast his net wider than human suffering, but also reflecting a lifelong love of animals.

The Problem Of Pain by C.S. Lewis | Posted February 11, 2013
Have you ever asked yourself how to deal with the problem of pain?

Why is there pain? What can we learn from the problem of pain?

If people have hurt you lately, or  you've been carrying a lot of pain from the past. This book may answer some questions that come over time.

This was a very good book. Persoally I learned so much while reading this book.

I was supposed to read this book about seven month ago as an optional extra reading for English class, but I never go the chance to read the bookk and do the assignment.

Now I must say, that I should have read the book earlier it would have answered my questions earlier.

Therefore, I recommend this book to anyone that has the time to read something.

I love all that he writes. He brings such hope and faith into all situations. He shows all Christians deal with everyday situations and faulter. We are not perfect, just forgiven. I can't believe how authenic he writes. He lets his reader into his soul, into the deepest cracks of his emotions. Its fantastic!
