Dawnna Jean Pearson is a multi-media artist working in novels, short stories, poetry, painting, drawing, graphic novels, crafts, flower-arranging, cookie-baking, and more. She thanks God for these gifts, and most of all for saving her through His Son Jesus Christ.
Dawnna was born in 1990 in the Pacific Northwest area of Oregon, USA. She grew up playing under huge evergreen trees, wading in overgrown grass, hunting snail shells, and letting her imagination fly free. About the same time she could grasp art tools, she began drawing, and most of her pictures had a story behind them. She also began acting out long and elaborate dramas, using Barbies, toy animals, and her four younger siblings as characters. She wrote her first little novel at the age of twelve.
Dawnna lives with her parents and helps with their small nursery business. She keeps busy as a freelance and volunteer artist/writer. She has illustrated some children's books, including "Please Don't Tickle the Tiger" by Ryan Cedar, and "The Three Mousegetteers" by her father, R. Eugene Pearson. Both are available in Amazon's Kindle store. You can see examples of her artwork on her Wy'east Artisans Guild bio at http://www.wyeastartisansguild.com/membership-directory/dawnna-pearson/, visit her blog, Illustrator's Way, at http://illustratorsway.blogspot.com/, and contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dawnna enjoys full bookshelves, walks in the woods (especially when the sun is shining through the trees), Celtic music, 2D animated films, thrift stores, hearing peoples' stories, and taking time to stare in awe at God's creation. She hopes that her stories will bring something good to each person who reads them, and that each of those people will meet the Author of all life, whose story we are in right now.
