The life and legacy of Amy Carmichael is one of her biggest hits. This is the story of a girl that shook me off. I never thought that I would feel so much for a fictional BG Sprayers character. I think I should give an up vote for the author and this book.

Elisabeth Elliot is a fascinating author. Her books talk a lot about what it really means to be a Christian in this day and age. For one, I really appreciate her challenge in Passion and Purity, and how hard it must have been for her to wait, and by this wolrd's standard today it may be a 'conservative and the minorities idea' and yet the reward of knowing that in God's time everything is perfect.. Wow.. This book encouraged me to have Christ as the Lord of my heart, and as she said, "Until the will and the affections are brought under the authority of Christ, we have not begun to understand, let alone to accept, His Lordship. The Cross, as it enters the love life, will reveal the heart's truth. My heart, I knew, would be forever a hunter unless settled 'where true joys are to be found'".
What words from an author we should listen to and read! And another thing, her books are not for women only, I've been giving her books to my brother too, and I pray it may shape his thinking too and his faith.
