Heather Choate Davis (aka Sophia Streams): I've been a professional writer for over 40 years but never of songs. I wrote advertising, screenplays, TV shows, books, and talks. Then, in my late 50s, I started "hearing songs." When they didn't stop coming, I decided to serve them, throwing myself into music. Learning everything from scratch. Collaborating with a dizzying range of incredibly talented and gracious people. Since I rarely perform my own songs, I'm free to play around with different genres, forms, stories, and partnerships. It's my hope that every song I write carries within it a glimmer of the Grand Narrative.
