New Music: Relentless Flood
This band was formed by Marshal Huffman and Dale Huffman in 2009 in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Their first album, Stand released in 2012, followed by The Time is Now in 2014, then their latest, Escape the Fall in 2018. Their breakout songs were arguably, "Still I Know" and "Come Home" from The Time is Now, which features T.J. Harris of Decyfer Down on the former. Relentless Flood has been a supporting act for several bigger rock acts, such as Ashes Remain, Decyfer Down, and Scott Stapp, and soon, Disciple. Their sound of rock has well-balanced amounts of rhythmic rock and melodic rock. It creates a familiar, yet strong sound. To top it off, their faith is clear in their lyrics. Listening through any of the three albums you will hear messages of hope and faith without having to dig deep into the lyrics. New Tour: Disciple
Disciple's twelfth album entitled Love Letter Kill Shot, is coming in hot and they have a headlining tour to support its release! The Love Letter Kill Shot tour is supported by Relentless Flood and fellow Tooth and Nail labelmates Paradise Now. Disciple is known for giving a Gospel presentation from lead singer Kevin Young, having passionate shows, and have rewarding V.I.P. packages. September 15th to November 7th seems to be the tour dates for this line-up. Disciple is coming fresh off of numerous festivals around the country and have a few dates after this tour on their website as well. This tour is mostly going to be on the West Coast of the U.S.A. A Throwback Album: We As Human's self-titled LP
Some bands only make a small of amount of music before their time is up, due to whatever circumstances brings about their ending. We As Human is one of those bands. They released an EP, We As Human EP in 2011. John Cooper of Skillet found the EP and the band and loved them! He took them to Atlantic Records and recorded their full-length self-titled in 2013. The album has two renowned guests on it, John Cooper, and Lacey Sturm, on separate songs. The gritty undertone of Justin Cordle's voice pairs up very well with the style of rock and roll they picked up, it even resembles John Cooper's.They tackle themes such as spiritual struggles, surrender, suffering, depression, and ends in a bold, declarative song of their faith. A Song Devotional: War of Ages, "Miles Away"
We know that following Jesus will include times of suffering and hardships. The great benefit to following Jesus anyways, is His promise that His Holy Spirit will never leave us. Life would be a lot more difficult without the Spirit in us to help us. War of Age's new single, "Miles Apart" talks about this truth. "This life is hell without you. I would trade it all to feel you." An acknowledgement of our dependence on Him to get us through, until we meet in Heaven is key to keep going. They encourage us to, "find strength through the suffering. Skies turn black, but the sun will rise." They will be a time where the sun shines, and you can see hope and feel love. Maybe not yet, so find strength through the suffering, and remember it will be much worse if you do not stay in relationship with Christ, because then, you might not feel Him with you anymore.
