GRAMMY® nominated Elevation Worship is gearing up for the release of their 11th career project with GRAVES INTO GARDENS.
GRAVES INTO GARDENS is a live album featuring 10 newly penned tracks that dynamically showcase the collective talents of the group while spotlighting a number of special guests. These include the title track's ("Graves Into Gardens") lead vocal from Bethel Music's GRAMMY® nominated Brandon Lake, who is also credited as co-writer on the song, and an appearance from GRAMMY® nominee Tauren Wells on "Never Lost."
"Our hope is that this album provides a new perspective that allows listeners to see new life in seemingly dead places," says Elevation Worship's Chris Brown. "We want the music and message to elevate their faith to believe in the resurrection power of all the dreams, hopes, and promises they've sown. And to be reminded that in every season, and every circumstance, God is able to do more than we could ask or imagine when we trust Him with our present and future. What God breathes on must come to life, and what we may see as a grave, God sees as a garden."

Elevation Worship has become one of the fastest-growing names in the growing genre of megachurch worship music. With several iconic hits under their belt, this latest release will most likely have a few more.
What It Sounds Like
As worship music has evolved, so has its sound. With more and more megachurches starting bands that find great commercial success, this music space isn't just reserved for Hillsong anymore. These songs use the many sonic styles present in contemporary worship. The live setting gives the album's music an intimate feel. Most songs either stay soft and reflective or build to a crescendo of a finish that has the band firing on all cylinders. Some songs have memorable experimentation, like the energetic opener "RATTLE." At times, it feels like it takes inspiration from bands like NEEDTOBREATHE or We Are Messengers, with a chat-like structure and even a pleasing bass hook.
While I think the track could have probably been several minutes shorter and stronger for a more compact delivery, this was definitely an attention-grabbing way to kick off the album. If anything, I think the live setting may lead to a lot of the songs being a lit...
