The Sound of Freedom EP
Renowned, Macon, GA-based singer-songwriter JJ Weeks will release his first EP since signing his exclusive agreement as a solo artist with Radiate Music. The six-song recording, The Sound Of Freedom, will hit digital retail and streaming outlets globally from Radiate Music Feb. 7. The title track is also being heard now at radio outlets nationally.
“Freedom comes out differently for everyone, but it is unmistakable when every chain hits the floor,” says Weeks. “Imagine standing guilty in front of judge and jury and your sins, condemnation, temptations, hopelessness, depression, not feeling like you’re enough, fear and whatever you may be dealing with is all laid out for everyone to see. Then, with one word coming from the corner of the room, it all vanishes because the King says, ‘That’s my child.’ That’s the freedom I’m talking about in this song!”

It's been almost two years since the JJ Weeks Band has released any new albums. So, it was a surprise for fans when JJ Weeks released his new solo EP The Sound of Freedom. JJ recently signed an agreement with Radiate Music as a solo artist, so this seems to be the beginning of an exciting new season for JJ Weeks.
What it Sounds Like
JJ has brought us an EP that has those beautiful acoustic and pop sounds that he carries into all of his songs. The songs on the album tackle struggle we face in our day-to-day life, like in JJ's song "Days Like These." We all have bad days, and JJ used this song to share how God remains faithful even through the struggles of life.

The main theme of this album is that in any circumstance we may be facing, God will be with us. That message is clearly expressed in the song, "Here With Me."
