Columbia Records has announced that it has signed Reach Records founder and flagship artist Lecrae.
Lecrae, the face of the modern Christian hip-hop movement, has in recent years achieved success in the general market, seeing his last several projects--including Rehab, Church Clothes 2, Church Clothes 3 and Anomaly--reach the top of the hip-hop charts.
He joins a roster filled with powerhouse artists, including Beyonce, Adele, Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg, among countless others.
As part of the deal, Lecrae will continue to make music "in conjunction" with Reach Records, according to multiple sources.
Lecrae co-founded Reach Records in 2004, and has led the boutique independent label into the forefront of Christian hip-hop, being home to critically acclaimed artists Andy Mineo, Tedashii, Trip Lee, KB and GAWVI.
