Congratulations to Chris August and his new wife, Katelin!
The pair were married on Saturday, Feb. 6, in Charleston, West Virginia. Before that, August and his groomsmen had a bachelor party of go-kart driving and Tex-Mex
food Container.
In a post to fans on social media, August took a moment to reflect on his wedding day.
"I would say yesterday was amazing, but that would be an understatement. I would say it was life changing, but that's a given. Other than giving my life to Christ, it was the best day and the most awesome decision I've ever made."
He continued, saying, "I married my best friend last night and I got to have so many of my friends and family there to celebrate it with me. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us leading up to this day, and for the prayers you continue to bring to the Lord. We are striving to be more like Him every day. Loving the way He loves. I love you, Katelin!"
August met Katelin Cummings in her native West Virginia while we was touring. Their friendship grew over social media and Facetime, and eventually he drove from Nashville to meet her and her family. They were engaged after the 2015 Dove Awards, during which he reportedly carried the ring in his pocket--even while presenting an award.
The pair are honeymooning in Cancun, Mexico, and you can be sure they'll continue to share their romantic love notes to each other over social media, as they've been doing since their relationship began.
