Updated 3/4/08: Of course after writing this review and typing up all the lyrics, I couldn't get the songs out of my head. So the melodies are definitely catchy and stay with you. I still find the lyrics lacking a little and I can't always connect them or make total sense of them, but its a good album.

Original Review: The melodies are great and he and his band know how to rock out. The melody lingers in your head and you find yourself humming but the lyrics don't always connect or make sense.

This cd is great for just playing in the background but not much else for me unfortunately. I guess I've been spoiled by the lyricism of Phil Wickham, Shane & Shane and David Crowder. They have that element of digging deeper than the regular cliches.

If you are a fan of Jared's by all means give this album a listen for yourself!

Just for me this album would join the ranks of a lot of my cds from the 90's ... just sitting on my shelf.
