What You Need To Know
Sarah Reeves released her debut album, Sweet Sweet Sound, in 2009 with record label Sparrow. She became extremely popular in Christian music circles around 2018 when she released her 15-song album, Easy Never Needed You, with record label Curb I Word. Since then, she's released many new singles, including "Paradise." Sarah says that this new single is one of her personal favorite tracks from her upcoming album, which is slated for a fall release.
What it Sounds Like
Sarah Reeves describes "Paradise" as "a love story of turning a regular night at home into paradise. It's sweet, visual, and romantic." That explains the new single pretty well. The song is extremely visual, and could easily be described as a ballad. It has a pop sound that Sarah brings to all of her songs. But, at the same time, it's a beautiful love song. It's a picture that Sarah painted of her and her husband's relationship: "Whenever you look at me/I'm feeling that ocean breeze/You'll always be my paradise."
Although "Paradise" is a love song, it could be viewed as a reflection of God's love for us. God is always turning the ordinary things in life into paradise. If we pay attention to what God is doing around us, we'll see that we're living in constant paradise. God is the creator of all things. So even the mundane is extraordinary when we look at it in light of who He is.
Although I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of pop love songs, Sarah still gave us a sweet vignette that I'm sure will be a treasure that she and her husband will hold onto for years to come. I know that fans will love this new song. You can start streaming it this Friday on Apple Music and Spotify.
