One Love Revolution: Arguably the Best Pillar Album Yet

By rockin2revelation,
I am one of the Kickstarter backers and had an opportunity to hear snippets of a few songs before "One Love Revolution" was released. Stripping all bias aside, once I received the full package, I was absolutely blown away. The boys in Pillar definitely stepped up their game on this one.
Consider OLR a "Best Of" type of project as it mixes styles from their previous albums. There is a depth and maturity to Rob Beckley's lyrics. As far as musicianship? Well, there is a reason that Lester Estelle (drums) is on the road touring with Kelly Clarkson and Noah Henson (guitar) tours with Brantley Gilbert. And Kalel more than completes the unit, bringing back the bassline. I love his work on the instrumental, "Ember of Hope."
You will want to get the hardcopy CD from Lifeway. The CD-exclusive "Fall to Foe" is more than worth the effort to find a hardcopy and is one of my favorites on the album. "We Ride" is another one that is resonating with me on an album of standouts. Others include "Embrace the Chaos," "Nails," "Paratroooper," and an epic reboot of "Lion Leads the Way."
