Good and Bittersweet

By soalyssatated,
I had never heard of Serita Jakes before and didn't know what to expect, and I was treated good. It's a bittersweet story with characters that are full of character and a story line that had me pacing.
10 years ago, a highschool teacher was murdered, and two of the kids who witnessed the scene, Claudia and Casio, are still suffering from the memories. On the surface they've moved on with their lives, but underneath the pain is still boiling and every now and then it shows up. Now Claudia's ADA husband Vic is reopening the case, to find the killer who evaded capture the first time around. Intertwined with the stories are the personal struggles of Claudia and Casio that tie in with the murder of their teacher.
This story is a good example of how your sins not only impact you, but others in a ripple effect that sometimes you cant even see.If you're looking for a feel good story, this isn't it...but if your looking for an intense story with a good moral behind it. This is a good pick!
