Oh! Gravity. by Switchfoot Oh! Gravity. by Switchfoot
"Oh! Gravity" is one great Switchfoot record. The music is second to none and the lyrics are well thought out. My personal favorite on the album is the beautiful closer "Let Your Love Be Strong". Other...

I've been listening to Switchfoot about a year now and I have all of their records but none of their previous albums compare to "The Beautiful Letdown". This album's overriding message is redemption with...
Sound Of Melodies by Leeland Sound Of Melodies by Leeland
I can't decide whether "Sound Of Melodies" or "All That Is Within Me" is my favorite album. Whether "Sound Of Melodies" is my favorite record or not it doesn't change the fact that this album is pure genius....

"The Beautiful Letdown" was one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time, so of course I was excited when I bought "Nothing Is Sound". While the record is fairly good, it lacks the catchy songs that "The Beautiful Letdown" had. My personal favorites on the album are "Stars", "The Setting Sun", "We Are One Tonight", and "Daisy". I wouldn't say this was a disastrous album, it is well-written and well put together. But it just doesn't have the hooks that their previous album had. I would still recommend it because of Jon Foreman's great songwriting.

Relient K | Posted December-04-2007
This is the first album I have listened to by Relient K and it is decent. "Deathbed" is by far the best track on the album, in my opinion. "Give Until There's Nothing Left" and "Forgiven" are two more solid tracks. If you're a punk rock fan then you will probably enjoy "Five Score and Seven Years Ago" but if you are not a fan of punk then you probably shouldn't get it.

We Are The Remedy | Posted November-14-2007
When I bought "Remedy" I came in with low expectations, but after a listen I was extremely impressed.

I was surprised that the band chose to begin the album with a slow song but it works well. "The Glory Of It All" is an incredible worship song, that speaks of what Christ gave for us that we may live/ For the glory of it all. "Can You Feel It?" shows up next with a message of sensing God's presence wherever we go. The first radio single, "Everything Glorious", is the third track and has a great hook with a worshipful chorus. The fourth track is "...neverending..." which speaks of God's unending reign. "Never Let Go" slows down the pace of the album and talks about God's great faithfulness; while "O, For A Thousand Tongues To Sing" is wonderful rendition of the hymn originally written by Charles Wesley. The seventh track is a straight-up worship song called "Rain Down", which calls for God's love and grace to rain down on us. "We Won't Be Quiet" quickens the pace with a call for the church to never stop worshipping. My personal favorite is the title track "Remedy", which is a beautiful song about Christ being the remedy. It also challenges believers to bring the remedy. The album ends on a soft note with "Surely We Can Change" which stays with the theme of the album of the church bringing the cure.

If you are a fan of the David Crowder Band even if you're not you should give "Remedy" a shot.

Skillet Is Certainly Not Comatose | Posted November-13-2007
"Comatose" is the only album that I own from Skillet, not to mention one of the few rock albums. But I have to admit this is a great album. From songs like the rocking "Rebirthing" to the more tender "Yours To Hold", "Comatose" is an infectious record that you will be singing long after you listen to it.

MercyMe At Their Best | Posted November-13-2007
Since I started listening to Christian music I have loved MercyMe's music. From "I Can Only Imagine" to "Spoken For" I've liked pretty much everything that they've done. But "Undone" takes the cake for what I consider to be their best outing to date.

"Where You Lead Me" begins the record with a great hook on the chorus. Next up is "Everything Impossible" which speaks of having faith in something that we cannot see. The first radio single off the album is "Here With Me" which is a catchy pop tune with yet another great hook that the band is known for. "In The Blink of An Eye" is probably the catchiest tune on the entire album. It talks about living for Christ instead of ourselves and speaks of the hope we have in Christ. In a blink of an eye that is when/ I'll be closer to you than I've ever been/ Time will fly, but until then/ I'll embrace every moment I'm given/ There's a reason I'm alive for a blink of an eye/. "Unaware" comes in next with an almost dreamy tune which speaks of being in love with God. My personal favorite "Homesick" is the sixth track on the album. The song brings comfort to those who have lost loved ones by letting Christians know that In Christ there are no goodbyes.

The seventh track on the record is "When You Spoke My Name" which has yet another infectious chorus. "A Million Miles Away" speaks of God's omnipotence, while "Caught Up In The Middle" helps us to see that God's plan is much greater than our own. "Never Alone" tells of just what the title implies, as Christians we always have Christ at our side. The message of the cross is evident with the song "Undone". "Shine On" is a challenge to Christians to be lights for all men. The album ends on a tender note with "Keep Singing". The closer talks about praising God through the mountains and the valleys.

All in all "Undone" is MercyMe's most complete recording to date. Infectious choruses, a great pop/rock sound, and lyrics that always point to Christ, if you are a MercyMe fan then this is a no brainer. If you are a fan of pop/rock then you can't go wrong with "Undone".
